Ethics

"Ethically sourced bones" can mean many different things depending on who you are and what your personal ethical code is.

We are a queer vegan couple who's top priority is animal wellbeing and environmental health, both in business and in our personal lives. This means we collect these treasures from nature with respect for the animals and land we are handling.

We do our best to let nature handle as much of the cleaning as possible prior to our own cleaning processes. This is so the natural cycle can take back as much as it needs to first - allowing the animal to return to the earth. 

When retrieving animal remains, of any state, we do our best to assess the evidence we can gather on how the animal has met their death. If, for any reason, we suspect a purposeful killing of any kind, we will not sell anything foraged from that animal.
